Often found connected to the ABS system, they share many of the same functions. Traction Control measures if any wheels are spinning at a different rate to the rest of the wheels. If they are, the computer will apply brakes to the fast-spinning wheel, bringing it back in line with the rest of the wheels.
As you can see, the Traction Control unit is quite important for keeping you and your vehicle safe on the road. If the vehicle's computer flashes on the Traction Control warning light, bring it in to us at OBD Diagnostics to check over and decode the precise issues. With the codes that caused the light to come on, we will be able to pin point the issue and focus the repair on that one major issue.
Just in case you're not sure, here's how to check your tyre size.
